PHOTOS OF RECYCLING & FELTMAKING WORKSHOPS...
Thanks to everyone who came to these....We had fun !! :)
I can bring this workshop to your group/meeting place, or run it as a kids party....adults or kids will enjoy this...I did :)
Feltmaking Workshops
Handmade felt is an exciting & versatile medium to work with. Each piece is as individual as the artist themselves.
These are simply examples of the type of workshop which I can run ... you may wish to contact me to have a chat about your particular interests & requirements if you would like to book one...
Felt Pictures
In this workshop, the wet-felting technique is used to create a picture of your choice using merino wools as well as other wools & fibres, with diverse & individual effects.
Great fun & satisfying...learn to "paint with wool"
Felt Flowers
In this workshop you will look at the wide range of items which can be made from wool and the various techniques & fibres used in the feltmaking process.
Learn the basic principles of this traditional craft and then create your own unique flower using merino wool and some decorative beading.
You will take home a beautiful & wearable piece of art which will not fade or wilt.
Sessions range from an hour taster session or a couple of hours for basic feltmaking to day workshops exploring the craft in greater detail for either adults or children. Also courses over a period of several weeks would allow different techniques to be used and various ideas to be incorporated into the students work.
Costs vary depending on time, travel, as well as the quantity of materials used and so is subject to negotiation.
Work produced in the craft sessions could range from a simple piece of felt or a small felt ball, spiral felt beads, a small vessel to an item such as a flower, a picture, or even a bag.
The possibilities are as endless as your imagination...
